POSITION LOCATION: Tallahassee, FL (relocation benefits are not available for this position)

 

Your Specific Responsibilities:

This is a professional position involving the identification and analysis of complex management problems and the

development and implementation of solutions to meet the Department of Commerce (COM) objectives and improve

management capabilities and operational procedures.

 

Processes requests for agency unique accounting report maintenance. Works with various associates within the agency,

who have specialized report needs to determine how to meet those needs. Prepares ad hoc financial reports upon request.

Assists with research of audit inquiries, development of specialized reports and data management processes.

 

Serves as team lead in issues related to computer hardware and software in (Finance and Accounting) F&A by working with

agency support staff and external contacts, including Department of Management Services (DMS) and Department of

Financial Services (DFS) to meet the needs of the unit which include daily file transfers as well as other ad hoc requests.

 

Serves as primary technical liaison with DFS when addressing communication requirements related to technical issues

which arise from changes in both COM and/or DFS systems.

 

Works closely with program staff in Division programs to successfully integrate their service delivery systems with FLAIR to

electronically communicate financial transaction detail.

 

Manages and monitors the posting of finance related corrections associated with corrected timesheets. Maintains and

publishes policy for manual adjustment of time reported in People First.

 

Develops systems and processes to support agency business processes using Access. Prepares documentation of the

systems and processes. Performs maintenance on systems and processes as required.

 

Assists in research and development of the State's accounting system (FLAIR) batch transaction files as needed.

 

Represents Finance and Accounting on teams and completes special projects as assigned.

Ability to organize and prioritize work assignments and effectively manage multiple tasks.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

Proficient skills in Word and Excel in working with data, create spreadsheets, us database systems, run reports and conduct related follow-up activities.

 

Pay: $43,000.00 - $50,000.00
