Salary: $70,000- 82,000 per year based on years of experience

Other Forms of Compensation: Annual Bonus Eligible 

Pay Grade: 14

Job Summary

Touchpoint is seeking an experienced registered dietitian to manage a team of 7 dietitians as a  Clinical Nutrition Manager (CNM) at a medium sized hospital on the lakefront in Chicago. This hospital provides inpatient specialty services that include mental and behavior health units (eating disorder, substance abuse) and the Diamond Headache Unit. The CNM oversees the nutrition programs that have been incorporated into the specialty units. Outpatient nutrition services include Medical Nutrition Therapy and Oncology Clinic (radiation & infusion). Additional medical services provided by the hospital include Level III NICU, OB, ICU, and Med/Surg. The Clinical Nutrition Manager collaborates closely with culinary and patient services.

Touchpoint reimburses our dietitians for their annual professional fees including CDR fees, Academy or ASPEN annual membership and state licensure!

Touchpoint encourages our clinical dietitians to pursue advanced clinical certifications such as CDCES, CNSC, CSO, etc. We offer a $2,500 one-time salary increase for successfully obtaining an advanced certification. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Establishes goals and oversees implementation of clinical nutrition care based upon the facility’s medical direction and patient population
• Assesses the nutritional status of patients through documentation in the medical record
• Hires, leads, directs, coaches, trains, and develops nutrition team members
• Trains and mentor’s patient services staff and interns as applicable
• Fosters teamwork and establishes effective strategies to implement innovative programs leading to optimal clinical nutrition and financial outcomes
• Monitors competency, productivity, and documentation accuracy of clinical staff
• Assigns and directs the workload of the clinical nutrition staff. Participates in staffing analysis to ensure adequate staffing in collaboration with the Regional Director of Nutrition Systems. 
• Complies with regulatory standards, including federal, state, and accrediting agencies while adhering to facility confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and patient rights policies
• Leads patient satisfaction programs, departmental meetings, and facility wide Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement programs

 
Qualifications:

• Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) required
• Licensed by the State Dietetics Licensing Board, in states where required
• At least 1-2 years of management experience in acute care or long-term care, with direct reports preferred 
• Specialty nutrition certification(s) preferred
• Possess the necessary skills to effectively utilize Microsoft office applications, electronic medical record & diet office systems, and nutrient analysis programming
