Job Title: Estimator – Commercial Construction

Position Overview: The Estimator will play a critical role in the pre-construction phase, responsible for accurately projecting the costs associated with prospective projects. This includes analyzing project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of construction processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and other relevant documents to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to clarify project requirements and ensure accurate estimates.
• Utilize estimating software and tools to compile and present cost data effectively.
• Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and value engineering alternatives.
• Maintain a database of historical cost data for reference in future projects.
• Stay current with industry trends, material costs, and labor rates to ensure competitive and accurate estimates.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating, preferably in commercial projects.
• Proficiency in estimating software
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
