The Construction Inspector will be responsible for overseeing and inspecting civil construction for the City's Reimagine Palafox project!
Duties:
- Reviewing and interpreting plans and specifications with contractors and subcontractors
- Ensure the quality and adherence to design specifications throughout the construction process
- Inspect grades, materials, surfacing applications, stormwater drainage, and sewer installations for compliance with established requirements

Skills and Requirements
- Civil construction knowledge and experience
- Experience in public project engineering such as street or sewer construction
- Considerable knowledge of the methods, materials, practices, and techniques used in construction
- Ability to read and interpret routine engineering designs and specifications
- Skilled in the application of proper inspection and investigation methods and techniques
- Ability to pass a drug and background check
- Ability to work overtime when needed
