Data Analyst 

Consumers Credit Union is looking to hire a passionate Data Analyst to join our team. As a Data Analyst, you will discover, organize, manage, and analyze relevant data for the purpose of executing improvements to sales, service, process efficiencies, and risk assessment. This role will be onsite at our corporate office in Kalamazoo, full-time. 

What you will be doing: 

• Analyze and apply underwriting methodologies while assessing risk tolerance to inform the development and training of automated underwriting models for loan acquisition processes.
• Communicate results and insights to key stakeholders.
• Contribute to shape the data structure and schema within the data warehouse and across diverse data systems.
• Create and manage decision models for the purpose of automation.
• Collaborate with and support Operations, Risk Management, Collections, Marketing in analytical initiatives.
• Remain informed about compliance efforts and initiatives, ensuring that all tools developed are fully compliant with relevant regulations requirements.
• Perform ad hoc data requests and analysis as needed, Credit Union wide.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What you will bring to the table: 

• Years of Experience: 4-6 years with Bachelors (Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science)
• Working knowledge of enterprise data management with ability to communicate with database administrator and data integration.
• Formal understanding of statistical techniques (Linear/Logistic Regression, Hypothesis Testing, Experimental Design)
• Proficient in SQL
• Self-directed with strong decision ability
• Strong communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills
• Working knowledge of credit union products
• Ability to work at fast pace with a strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
