AVAILABLE PROGRAM POSITIONS:

DAY SUPPORT:$13 - $14/Hour - 8am - 5pm / Mon-Friday This position is in Lynchburg, VA Duties:

• Looking for an employee with strong experience working with Intellectually Disabled Individuals in a Day Support setting. Need strong skills in handling Individuals with extreme behaviors.
• Responsible for assisting with the physical care, guidance and supervision of Intellectually Disabled Children in the Day support setting.
• Performs activities and duties to help individuals develop acceptable habits and attitudes; helps the individuals meet the outcomes of any service or behavioral plan; insures daily needs and health and safety of the individual are met; assist individuals with daily hygiene and personal living skills; complete data collection in accord with person centered plan; responds quickly and appropriately to unpredictable behavior and circumstances. Other duties as required. If you are a caregiver, this is the position for you.
• Ensures the daily needs of the children are properly met.
• Follows established procedures to report changes/concerns to appropriate persons.
• Develop a visual display of daily choices to encourage self-direction by the person you support.
• Actively include the children's strengths, interests, and talents in their plan and its implementation.
• Ensure that they understand the difference between what’s important to them and what’s important for them.
• Observes individuals daily for behavioral changes, physical injuries, conditions, and cleanliness.
• Completes data collection in accordance with Individual Service Plan.
• Performs required housekeeping duties to maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment in the Day Support Rooms.
• Plans and implements special activities.
• Other duties as assigned.
• This position requires the successful completion of training/certification in CPR, First Aid and TOVA Training.
• This position requires the successful completion of criminal history and central registry background investigations.

* REQUIREMENTS:

* ACTIVE AND UP TO DATE DRIVER'S LICENSE

• High school diploma, GED, and 2 Years of documented experience working with children with intellectual disabilities, Alzheimer’s, Dementia, Special Ed, etc.
• DMV record and Social Security Card
