Ocean Charter School (OCS) uses a Waldorf Educational approach to teach common core standards in a public school setting. We are accepting applications for Kindergarten through Fifth Grade teaching positions, and we welcome like-minded individuals interested in Waldorf Education to apply. Ideal candidates have Waldorf teaching experience and a CA multiple subject credential.
OCS teachers practice looping, where they move with their class through the grades and remain teaching the same students for multiple years. We are particularly interested in candidates with the ability and flexibility to teach all grades. OCS offers summer training to prepare teachers for the upcoming school year as well as additional professional development opportunities, mentoring, and a supportive working environment. We are committed to equity and seek educators who share our passion for public Waldorf Education.
Qualifications for Teachers:
1. Bachelor's Degree
2. Multiple Subject Teaching Credential (clear, preliminary, or intern)
3. EL Authorization
4. Waldorf Teaching Certificate (or commitment to obtain certification)
5. Experience in Waldorf class teaching preferred
