Sodexo's Campus Segment has an exciting opportunity for a hands-on and talented Executive Chef 2 to lead culinary operations at State Quad Dining Hall at the University at Albany in Albany, NY.

As Executive Chef, you’ll be the culinary lead for one of the university’s key resident dining halls. With a team of 50+ employees, you will drive food quality, safety, and consistency while mentoring staff and delivering an exceptional student dining experience. This is a high-impact, high-volume role perfect for a chef who thrives in a collaborative, student-centered environment.

What You'll Do


  • Oversee all culinary operations for State Quad, ensuring Sodexo’s standards for recipe compliance, food quality, and safety are met.

  • Train, coach, and develop a large culinary team to maintain excellence and consistency.

  • Manage purchasing, inventory, food cost analysis, and production forecasting.

  • Lead menu development, including allergy-friendly and special diet offerings.

  • Ensure full compliance with HACCP, sanitation, and workplace safety protocols.

  • Drive a culture of culinary innovation, sustainability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Requirements


Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
