Job Purpose:
Many of the larger communities will have a dedicated housekeeper who is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all common areas on the property.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities :
Will always include those specifically assigned by the supervisor
Perform general cleaning duties, including vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and sanitizing common areas such as hallways, office, lounges, clubhouse, amenities etc.
Make ready cleaning for immediate move-ins
Cleaning of exterior including windows
Restock cleaning supplies and notify management of any inventory shortages.
Report any maintenance issues or damages to maintenance team
Support with minor maintenance requests
Assist with periodic deep cleaning projects and inspections.
Adhere to safety protocols and use proper cleaning techniques and equipment.
Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with residents, guests, employees and contractors.
Follow established procedures for waste disposal and recycling.
Assistance with delivering resident correspondence and packages to units as requested.
Common Area Inspection/Pick-up: Pickup debris and pet waste and perform inspection of all areas daily, before the office is open for business. Always be diligent to look for maintenance issues.
Trash: Maintain trash receptacles to be clean and clear, always available for residents. Any back-ups, overflows, or malfunctions should be reported to Maintenance Supervisor or Community Manager immediately. Assist with City pick up, when necessary.
Workorders: Complete minor workorders as directed. Ensure 24-hour response policy.
Breezeway Cleanliness: Enforce trash standards on property. Report violations to Maintenance Supervisor so notices to residents can be issued.
Weekend Coverage: Per schedule provided by Maintenance Supervisor, provide coverage of common areas on weekends and Saturday afternoon cleans.
Move-Out/Move-In
Vendor Assistance: Work with vendors during process and provide input to Maintenance Supervisor regarding vendors’ status and adherence to schedule.
Unit Punch: Complete unit punch at the direction of Maintenance Supervisor.
Qualifications:
High degree of neatness and respect for property combined with a willingness and desire to learn.
Able to understand cleaning solution labels and use as instructed.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
Professional and energetic demeanor resulting from previous landscape, maintenance, or housekeeping experience

Education and Experience Requirements:
Less than high school education; or up to six months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Broad-based experience in all phases of ground maintenance. Must be familiar with basic maintenance and minor repairs of small engines.
Valid driver’s license with proof of insurance.
