Job Description

Industrial Painter/Machine Operator - 2nd Shift

Location: Sugar Land, TX

Length: Temp-to-Hire preferred, but will consider direct hire for someone currently working

Pay Rate: $19-22/hr., depending on experience and recent pay history

Hours: 2nd shift schedule working Monday through Friday from 3:30p - 12:00a with a 30 minute lunch and two 10-minute breaks - NO overtime

*** While this is a 2nd shift position, this person MUST be able to train, during 1st shift hours, for 6-8 weeks, from 7:00a - 3:30p

Summary: This critical role will coordinate activities with refinishing production to meet all specifications and quality requirements. This role will be responsible for the finished product by directly applying paint coating. The ideal person will communicate the needs of the refinishing operations by recording daily activities and planning for future production requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Perform routine tasks to disassemble, clean, rebuild, and verify functionality of paint-related equipment (such as spray guns, pots, pumps, etc.)

2. Maintain equipment and supplies, ensuring that all tools are in good working condition.

3. Manage and Report inventory levels required to maintain a working stock for rebuilds, repairs, and assembly.

4. Assist with facilities maintenance as needed, including minor repairs to spray equipment.

5. Work Collaboratively with other team members to complete urgent rebuilds or repairs.

7. Maintain a clean and organized workspace

8. Work safely with hand and power tools.

9. Understand and assembly diagrams.

10. Assist team with daily cleaning of work areas in the refinishing department.

Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Understand and follow assembly diagrams
  • Assist team with daily cleaning of work areas in the refinishing dept.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Demonstrate attention to detail
  • Understand and follow all policies and procedures
  • Record daily work and inventory reports
