Job Description

A Time Four Paws, owned by Paws Playtime Inc., is looking for a full-time kennel assistant to join our team. This is the place where PACK IS FAMILY. We work with high-energy dogs and do not ban breeds or sizes. We are also a sponsor for Bandit's Chance Rescue for which we house, care for, and train dogs that are hoping to find their forever homes. We are located on 1534 Route 9. Our ideal candidate is mature, ambitious, efficient, prompt, thorough, paying attention to detail, and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning up messes in yards and play areas throughout the day while packs are running
• Assisting pack leaders in watching over packs while making sure waters are freshened, messes are cleaned up, and kennels are set up and checked for safety
• Gathering laundry for washing, putting away, and cleaning
• Re-filling cleaning supplies
• Changing out mop buckets
• Cleaning and sanitizing play and living areas
• Moving dogs within the facility
• Bathing dogs and assisting with nail trims (experience not required, training provided)

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Problem solving skills
• Effective Time Management
• Ability to be productive with minimal supervision
• Must be comfortable around dogs of all breeds and sizes off leash and running around
• Must know/learn basic dog body language - on the job training is available for this position.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow directions while packs are going.
• Good communicaiton skills.
• Understanding and upholding the responsibility of caring for live animals regarding their health and welfare
• Must adhere to strict policies and practices regarding the safety of the animals and staff
• Must enjoy being a part of an active team in a fast-paced environment
• Dog bathing experience (a plus but not required)
• Weekends are a must

Salary

This is an entry-level position with possible growth potential for the right candidate. The starting rate is $15.50/hr. After a 90-day probationary period, there is an evaluation based on performance and attendance in which there is room to grow in pay and/or position. • 7am to 4pm
• 3pm to 11pm
