Clinical Nurse Manager - Labor & Delivery Unit

Position Overview

As the L&D Unit Manager, you'll oversee daily operations, ensure clinical excellence, and foster a culture of patient-centered care. This role combines clinical leadership with operational management to deliver superior maternal and infant care outcomes.

Essential Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of nursing professionals in the Labor & Delivery unit
• Implement and maintain evidence-based clinical practices to enhance patient safety and outcomes
• Drive quality improvements through performance monitoring and staff development
• Manage unit operations, including staffing, budgeting, and resource allocation
• Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain accreditation standards
• Coordinate interdisciplinary care teams to optimize patient experience
• Drive patient satisfaction initiatives and quality metrics
• Oversee equipment maintenance and technology implementation
• Develop and maintain relationships with physicians and other healthcare partners

Required Qualifications

• BSN required, MSN preferred
• Current RN license in state of practice or active compact license
• 3-5 years clinical experience in Labor & Delivery or Maternal Care
• Minimum 1 year supervisory experience in L&D setting
• Specialty Certification (required within 6 months of hire)
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Experience with quality improvement initiatives
