Join Harmonia as a Part Time Front Desk Assistant (Medical Receptionist) and provide exceptional front desk support to clients and visitors. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, friendly, and detail oriented.
What You’ll Do:

- Greet patients and visitors warmly and professionally when they arrive at the office.
- Answer phone calls, take messages, and respond to inquiries in a courteous manner.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring optimal time management within the provider's schedule.
- Collect patient information and ensure accurate data entry into the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Verify and update patient insurance information and assist with insurance claims and billing inquiries.
- Assist patients with completing necessary forms and documentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area to provide a welcoming environment.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare providers and other staff to ensure smooth patient flow and continuity of care.
- Handle patient requests for records and other information in accordance with privacy regulations.
- Perform general administrative tasks, including filing, faxing, and managing correspondence.
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in healthcare administration is a plus.
- Proven experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar role preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, healthcare procedures, and health insurance processes.
- Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard office software (Microsoft Office, etc.).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to multitask effectively.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Compassionate and empathetic demeanor with a commitment to patient care.
