WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You'll report to the Director of Football, North America, to execute the pro and college field rep service strategy, as well as the entire Football Sports Marketing team.  In addition, you will work with NIKE product and brand teammates to execute product strategies and brand marketing utilizing NIKE’s football athletes and partners.

Sports Marketing employees partner with premier athletes, coaches and teams to collect insights about existing and future products, gather inspirational stories about sport, and nurture long-term relationships with the company. The team develops and executes sports marketing strategies, secures athlete endorsement agreements, and serves as NIKE ambassadors to the sports community. We are looking for someone with deep knowledge and a passion for the sport of football at the pro and college levels, as well as demonstrated ability to build unbreakable relationships with coaches, athletes and partners.

  • Bachelor's degree in Sports Marketing or  related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training and experience

  • 7+ years direct/indirect experience in the Football industry preferred

  • Strong negotiation skills

  • A wealth of relationships in the Football industry

  • Demonstrated ability to conceive/create new thinking and ideas about innovated sports marketing working relationships

  • Strong and positive people/relationships skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including meeting facilitation and presentations

  • Appreciation of the complexity of working with sports programs including emerging college NIL landscape

  • Proven ability to develop and drive strategy and excellence, identifying and adopting best practices to optimize performance

  • Ability to direct the resolution of highly complex business problems

  • Ability to travel at least 40% of the time

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

In your Field Rep role, you will split responsibilities between providing field service to NIKE college football coaches and programs and NFL players. You'll directly manage NIKE’s relationships with the best football programs, college coaches and pro players in the world. You'll serve the top football teams and athletes by developing deep, influential relationships and ensure that product, service, marketing, and contract fulfillment are met. You'll work with the Director of NIKE Football Sports Marketing to coordinate college and pro service plans, collaborate with the NIKE Sports Marketing team to sustain effective scouting of talent, forecast future stars and create recruitment/negotiation strategies to sign pro and NIL athlete endorsements. Also, you’ll utilize footwear and equipment expertise and knowledge to ensure execution, manage operational/process components and understand total resource allocation including product forecasting and seasonal product planning. You’ll develop deep, influential relationships with pro and college equipment managers, head coaches, athletes, and athletic department staff. You will execute athlete and partner service strategies at key events.

Responsibilities in the role include:

  • Primary contact for athletes, coaches, equipment managers, athletic department staff, etc. for approximately 15 college football programs and athletes on 3-4 NFL teams, primarily located in the southeast region of the U.S.

  • Product expert and conduit across multiple product categories and functions, including cleated, training, gloves, equipment, and accessories

  • Coordinate SMU products for elite college football programs and NFL athletes

  • Manage footwear and glove product samples and sell-in for new product innovation


  • Facilitate product testing and athlete feedback

  • Lead artwork, logo approvals, and head coach sign-off

  • Serve as the issue management and troubleshooting expert and point of contact. Communicate regularly with partners on seasonal initiatives, issues, special requests, etc. 

  • Develop strong working relationships with coaches, players, equipment managers, trainers, team management and administration
