Primary Function:The Preadmission Nurse assesses the preoperative or pre-procedure patient and develops a plan of care to facilitate optimization of the pre-anesthesia patient in accordance with hospital, state and regulatory policies.
Job Qualifications and Specifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Rhode Island
Recent perioperative or peri procedure experience preferred
Current CPR certification
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent customer service skills
Strong knowledge base relative to surgery procedures and management of the surgical patient preferred
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently.
