Senior Accountant – Unlimited PTO - Schaumburg, IL

is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join a growing company in Schaumburg, IL. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented financial professional who enjoys analyzing data, improving processes, and contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage month-end closing activities, including reconciliations, accruals, and expense analysis to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
• Prepare financial statements and reports, assisting leadership with variance analysis and identifying areas for cost efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls by maintaining accurate general ledger records and supporting documentation.
• Support audits by preparing necessary schedules and responding to inquiries in a timely manner.
• Assist in budget preparation and forecasting by analyzing financial trends and operational costs.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial operations and reporting efficiencies.
• Participate in special projects, offering strategic insight and support to the accounting team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 2+ years of accounting experience.
• 1+ year of general ledger (GL) experience.
• CPA certification and public accounting experience highly preferred.
• NetSuite experience strongly preferred.
• Strong Excel skills required.
