Senior Project Control Analyst

Location: San Diego, CA

Schedule: 9/80 workweek (every other Friday off)

Compensation: $89,491 – $133,788 annually, depending on experience

Our client, a defense company, is looking for a Senior Project Control Analyst to join an innovative team in San Diego! This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working across departments, managing financial elements throughout a project’s lifecycle—from proposal pricing to tracking budgets and schedules on active programs.

What You’ll Do:

• Partner with proposal teams to support RFP responses, develop cost estimates, and prepare pricing materials
• Track project costs, labor, and schedules, working closely with program managers and engineers
• Create and maintain MS Project schedules and provide financial analysis for business decisions
• Help develop cost/price models, Basis of Estimate (BOE), EACs, and other project controls
• Ensure compliance with government regulations (FAR, DFAR, CAS)
• Guide and mentor junior team members

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or similar (Master’s or certifications are a plus)
• 5+ years of experience in government or defense contracting
• Strong knowledge of FAR, CAS, cost principles (IR&D/B&P), and project controls
• Proficiency in Excel, Costpoint, MS Project, ProPricer, Power BI, and other financial tools
• Strong communication skills and ability to present financial data to cross-functional teams
