DESCRIPTION

The Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) organization is looking for an experienced product manager to build new tech tools and improve upon existing systems for office space planning. GREF is responsible for Amazon’s corporate office portfolio, creating the spaces that inspire Amazonians to make history. The globally diverse team manages Amazon’s corporate offices in more than 60 countries. GREF provides real estate transactions expertise, business partnering, space and occupancy planning, design and construction, capital investment program management, facility maintenance, and operations all contributing to the employee experience and leveraging places and programs to enable culture to thrive at Amazon. Within GREF, the Space Planning Product Management team builds new tools and experiences for optimizing space management processes and decisions and owns data that the space management decisioning systems rely on. This team works closely with GREF's Global Occupancy Planning, Space Planning, Moves/Adds/Changes (MAC), and Tech teams.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to own critical workstreams from PRFAQ to launch. Additionally, you will contribute to the end-to-end space planning product vision and development for GREF’s internal planning tooling and services. In close collaboration with Planning, Tech, and UX Design, you will drive software product strategy, collaborate cross-functionally to develop and launch new products, and maintain ownership over product requirements, backlog, and planning. This high visibility role will impact the success of the GREF organization and directly impact business partners across the company. The position requires strong customer centric strategic planning, analytical skills, problem solving, and excellent communication skills.

The product manager will dive deep into portfolio planning, existing technical systems, and product development within space allocation and work collaboratively with technical teams to create iterative software solutions to benefit customers across the company. This product manager will lead with curiosity and work collaboratively to invent new, simple tools that solve problems across complex systems and delight customers with ease of use. They will dive deep into the overall real estate planning process and Amazon workplace experience to understand customer needs. A track record of delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is a must. Being self-driven, adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities is a key to success. This role is a great fit for someone who is sensitive to the diverse perspectives of stakeholders and works with them to resolve differences.

Key job responsibilities
• Own product requirements for a primary customer base of GREF’s new planning product
• Develop product strategy, vision, and roadmap
• Work collaboratively with Engineering and UX on product definition and features implementation
• Work closely with all stakeholders to define and optimize the launch plan for new product(s)
• Establish metrics and key performance indicators for success
• Develop product and solution requirements, working backwards from the customer

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with end to end product delivery
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience managing technical products or online services
- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
- Experience influencing cross-functional teams and senior leadership
