The Simulation and Skills Lab Manager is responsible for managing the day- day operation of the Nursing Simulation Center and Skills Lab within the Unitek family of colleges. Specifically, this person manages the preparation, maintenance, inventory, and operation of all simulation equipment and supplies. This includes but is not limited to collaborating with faculty to run simulation activities that support the learners’ achievement of the course and program outcomes. Use of data to support simulation accreditation initiatives and standards is a key aspect of this role, along with oversight of direct reports related to the operation of simulation. This role’s main purpose is to implement healthcare simulation standards of best practice and ensure adherence to Unitek simulation policies and procedures. Salary: $88,100-$101,300k/year DOE
• Holds a valid, active, unencumbered license issued by the Board of Registered Nursing in the state of hire.
• A minimum of a master’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or University that includes course work in nursing education, or administration. Terminal degree in nursing preferred.
• Certification in simulation education (CHSE) or must obtain CHSE certification within two (2) years of hire. Must maintain certification while in this position.
• A minimum of two years of teaching experience in pre- or post-licensure nursing programs. A minimum of one year of experience working or teaching in a nursing simulation setting.
• At least two years of experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care and/or equivalent experience as determined by the Board of Nursing in the state of hire.
