Sarasota Law Firm is seeking an experienced Social Security Disability Case Manager/Paralegal. You will be responsible for assisting the supervising attorney with clients throughout the Social Security Disability claims process, from filing the initial application to developing the case for hearing. While experience in this field is necessary, we are also looking for more important qualities such as integrity, an unrelenting drive to obtain results, a deep desire to help others, and a commitment to operational efficiency and excellence. The right candidate for this position will also show stability and confidence under pressure when working with clients who are experiencing tremendous financial and medical hardship. This job is perfect for a legal professional with experience handling Social Security Disability claims.

Responsibilities

· Field incoming phone calls from current and prospective clients.

· Schedule appointments for new clients.

· Act as the point of contact for social security clients.

· Educate clients on the application and appeals process.

· Keep clients updated on the status of their cases.

· Communicate with the Social Security Administration to facilitate the processing of disability claims.

· Send, receive, and follow up on paperwork sent to the Social Security Administration and clients.

· Obtain client medical records from medical providers to submit to the Social Security Administration.

· Use our Case Management Software to perform all tasks and document all actions taken in a case.

Compensation:

· Competitive hourly wage depending on experience and/or qualifications

This is not a remote position so you will need to live within commuting distance to Sarasota.
