Must-Haves:

• 5+ Years of experience working with underground gas pipes
• Strong reporting skills
• Strong evaluation skills of safety operations
• Ability to work rotating 12 hour shifts
• Experience working with DOT regulations, especially Control Room Management for compliance of pipelines
• Strong background of computer systems and databases

Plusses:

• AS Degree or equivalent in technical discipline
• Excellent communication, judgement and analytical skills
• Ability to work 12 hour rotating shifts (Days, Evenings, Weekends, Holidays)

Day-to-day:

Insight Global is hiring for a Systems Controller for a natural gas company that involves performing various operational and maintenance tasks to ensure the continuous operation of pipeline facilities, including safeguarding, measurement, corrosion, and compression. Technicians respond to emergencies, maintain equipment, and actively participate in safety programs. They collaborate with team members, interpret technical drawings, and comply with regulatory standards. The role requires troubleshooting expertise, physical stamina, and flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and travel as needed. Additionally, technicians handle material orders, inventory management, and implement lockout/tagout procedures to ensure safety. They project a professional image and maintain cooperative relationships with both company and non-company personnel. The position also demands proficiency in operating work equipment, such as power tools and specialized instruments, and adherence to company policies and external regulations like PHMSA and EPA standards.
