Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaning Specialist to support a department preparing for its triannual accreditation inspection. This role involves deep cleaning and maintaining the department's appearance, based on an established checklist, to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness are met. The assignment is for one week each month, starting immediately and continuing until the inspection is completed (expected between late August and October).

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed cleaning tasks as outlined in the department's Deep Cleaning Checklist
• Ensure all designated areas including offices, workstations, common areas, and specialty equipment are cleaned and maintained to required standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of floors, furniture, equipment, and fixtures using proper cleaning agents and tools.
• Dispose of waste materials according to safety and hygiene protocols.
• Follow infection control and health & safety procedures at all times.
• Communicate with department staff and supervisor to ensure all assigned tasks are completed timely and thoroughly.

Requirements:

• Previous professional cleaning or janitorial experience preferred.
• Ability to follow detailed checklists and instructions.
• Reliable and punctual, with good attention to detail.
• Physically able to perform cleaning duties, including standing, bending, lifting, and using cleaning equipment.
• Must be available for one full week (40 hours) each month.
