Your Role on the Team Position Summary: Provides professional and technical skills to ensure safety, comfort, personal hygiene and the protection of patients in the provision of patient care. Over seen by the assigned RN and/or Clinical Coordinator. Reports to the Manager of MedSurg and Administrative Director.

Required Qualifications: - Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the unit.
- Knowledge of growth and development over the life span.
- Must be able to communicate effectively, in English, both verbally and in writing.
- CA Certified Nurse assistant., BLS/CPR certification.
- Non-violent crisis intervention/verbal de-escalation course within 3 months of hire.
- Formal nurse assistant course and/or one year nurse assistant experience preferred.
- HospitalMandatory Education Requirements: Orientation, Environment of Care, OSHA, Infection Control, Abuse/Neglect, and Ethics. Tuberculosis Screening, Licensure renewal, BLS
- Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Preferred Qualifications: - Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
