Description

Department: Primary and Intermediate Grades
Reports to: Assistant Principal - Sarah Foreman

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Assist the teacher in classroom management and instructional activities
Support students with day to day learning needs
Help manage classroom materials and supplies
Assist with student supervision outside of the classroom (lunchroom, recess, Mass, transitions, breaks, etc.)
Follow daily instruction from the classroom teacher(s)

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Understanding of child development, learning strategies, and classroom management.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
Ability to assist with lessons, follow directions, and help with behavior support.
High Degree of organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
Adaptability, problem-solving, and conflict resolution abilities.
Patience, empathy, and professionalism in diverse learning environments.
Knowledge of school policies, safety protocols, and confidentiality standards.

Education and Experience
High School Diploma
Archdiocese of Omaha Safe Environment Certification required
Previous education and/or childcare experience preferred but not required
